چکیده

Abstract As the need for manufacturing of complex surface topographies increases, traceable measurement with known uncertainties can allow a process to remain stable. Material measures are link in chain that connects topography instrument’s output definition metre. In this review, use material is examined purposes instrument calibration and performance verification based on metrological characteristics framework, as introduced ISO 25178 part 600. The associated each characteristic investigated terms fabrication, geometry functionality. discussed sequential approach, focusing have been developed specific technologies optical instruments. There remains gap framework characteristic, fidelity, review highlights current methods using reference metrology alternative approaches virtual instruments quantify effects fidelity. influence primary also reviewed context uncertainty propagation. conclusion, challenges identified regards scarcity available lower nanometre range, limitations cost, complexity, time industrial applicability.

Development and Application of Fault Detectability Performance Metrics for Instrument Calibration Verification and Anomaly Detection

Traditionally, the calibration of safety critical nuclear instrumentation has been performed during each refueling outage. However, many nuclear plants have moved toward conditiondirected rather than time-directed calibration. This condition-directed calibration is accomplished through the use of on-line monitoring. On-line monitoring (OLM) commonly uses an autoassociative empirical modeling ar...

Calibration-free quantitative surface topography reconstruction in scanning electron microscopy.

This work presents a new approach to obtain reliable surface topography reconstructions from 2D Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images. In this method a set of images taken at different tilt angles are compared by means of digital image correlation (DIC). It is argued that the strength of the method lies in the fact that precise knowledge about the nature of the rotation (vector and/or magni...
